On @ August 18th, 2022...Comet K2 will be in the asteriod belt orbital plane at @ 2.36 AU from Sun...
Asteriod belt extends from 2.2 au to 3.2 au of Sun....
Comet K2 will enter asteriod belt....
alot of # of obs...at 5,600 so far...that is alot..
Now at 738,000 km wide coma....
Still 1+ year away 5.5 AU @...and we have this size
coma at @ 727,000 km wide...
There's been many other comet coma's bigger...like Hale-Bopp, P-17, C/2007 McNaught , but they all were closer to our Sun.
Why is K2 coma size so big so far away ?
Is it because the solar system is warming up, and energy is effecting it ?, or something else ?

Just to give idea in sizes... of P-17 Holmes
